HISTORY & LIFE OF THE CABINAS
Cabinas Rancho Grande was first opened in 1995, by a surfer with a dream. Brian arrived in Costa Rica in the early eighties, in search of great waves and a life of simplicity. He found both in Playa Hermosa. After returning to his home in Florida to pack his life up, he drove down through Mexico, Guatamala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua to reach his new hide out in Costa Rica. Once the building was in place, Brian opened Cabinas Rancho Grande to fellow travelers to enjoy.
Since then, Rancho Grande has been completely renovated, the local free way has been paved and a few more local amenities added. What hasn't changed is the slow paced simplicity of life on the beach in Playa Hermosa at Cabinas Rancho Grande.
With a plethora of surf spots nearby, a looming mountain to hike, dazzling waterfalls to behold, and countless other excursions to embark on within the vicinity, a stay at Cabinas Rancho Grande will leave you feeling fresh and replenished.
